Guitar chords can be classified as major, minor, dominant, or augmented. The chord sound varies as it shifts from major to minor or from dominant to augmented chord. For example, the sound of a major chord is joyful. On the other hand, the sound of a minor chord stays gloomy. You will observe this pattern in some of the popular folk songs. The easiest guitar chord to play is E minor. Playing this chord will only need two fingers. You simply need to place your index finger on the second fret of the fifth string and simultaneously press your middle finger against the second fret of the fourth string.
