If there's one blazing guitar daddy who's ass John Mayer and the likes can kiss, I could only think of one and it's Carlos Santana. Even if he looks grubby with long swirls of mustache and a balding senile head, he's definitely a rock hottie when he plays the guitar. Although he first learned to fiddle the violin because of a mariachi violinist father, good thing he didn't follow his old man's footsteps or we wouldn't see him rocking the airwaves by now. How could we dare imagine Santana wearing that gaudy mariachi hat playing classical? It's like Andrea Boccelli dressed as Prince! But at least he came to his senses later on when he chose to use the guitar instead and introduced to America the local Latino rhythms and beats. Unlike Ricky Martin, Santana's more of an authentic Latino artist. He doesn't even have to wear pads just to shake his "bon-bon". He's a true guitar god.

I've always been fascinated with the man even without his band. He can play music, no words but plain melody. It's as if he's born with a guitar on hand. He's passionate and simply electrifying. His latest team up with modern acts like Michelle Branch and Rob Thomas was a shining glimmer to his career as a musical performer. His music shall continue to inspire the acoustic genre. So if you're learning how to play guitar, guitar tabs of Santana are masterful tricks to the A-B-C of guitar slams and jams. Here's my top five pick: Maria Maria, Black Magic Woman, Smooth, Soul Sacrifice, and Put Your Lights On. You can find these tabs posted on the web or you could buy the collection in a book of tabs.

I personally prefer playing the guitar to listen to music than listening to modern digital music alone. That is why I just keep on downloading a great number of chords, charts, and diagrams software which are made available on the net. These things are contributory to my guitar playing skill's enhancement. I must say that I play the guitar better now than before. The latest downloadable software which I have downloaded was the so called window's calculator, a software called musicord. I have learned a lot from this great software that I can play the guitar, especially the bass one with so much ease and comfort.
This software for bass guitar chart and chord applications can print and display chords. In addition, it comes along with different useful features. I wan indeed relieved of some complications when it comes to strings 4, 5, 6 because this software contains applications for these strings. Another interesting feature includes chords to notes and the other way around. It displays fingering and notes types which are stored. It comes along with fingering alternatives and fret boards. With this new software, I was able to do chord printing, handle sharp and flap, and enjoy the many benefits of its added features.

There is a common adage that says left-handed people are more talented than right-handed ones. Well, sort of, because I am left-handed and my talents are pretty multi-faceted. These skills enabled me to earn income and made me what I am now. At a very tender age, I learned how to play the guitar. I am very much inclined to music which has gone through various evolutions, that is, from old folk music to modern digital music. Being left-handed did not dampen my desire to play the guitar. At first it was kinda hard, but my patience and determination eventually paid off.
Now, I am still harnessing my skills in playing the guitar. Just like music itself, this instrument has gone through several changes, that is, from the manual guitar to the electric guitar. It is, indeed, a great thing that there is a reference material called "Left-Hand Guitar Chord Chart," because now I can enhance my skills better. This reference actually shows basic minor and major chords for keys of all sorts. Secondary and relative relationships of minor chords are also shown on main or principal chords. Of course, this chord is perfect for left-handed guitar as all types of forms are exactly fingered to suit left-handed people. It comes along with a fingerboard for guitar that displays notes that correspond to strings of guitar for left-handed players or performers.

Perhaps the most widely used scale in rock music is the pentatonic scale. This scale consists of five notes, hence the name ("penta" in Greek means "five".) There are two types of pentatonic scales: the minor and the major. Even though it only consists of five notes, this scale is very useful because it provides the player with little error when going over the chord progression of the notes found in the scale. The legendary Jimi Hendrix is known to use the pentatonic scale above any other artist. The King of Blues, B.B King is also a known user of this scale.
The minor pentatonic scale produces the bluesy sound. It is usually used in blues, jazz, rock, and heavy metal. The notes used in the minor pentatonic scale are dominant, minor, sevenths and minor sevenths. The major or primary pentatonic scale gives off a country sound. It is used in rock, jazz, country, blues and fusion. The chords used in this scale are dominant sevenths, major sevenths, and major.
Aside from being heavily used in rock music, the pentatonic scale is also prominent in Scottish Music. The musical style of China also has its foundation in the major pentatonic scale while the folk music of North America uses the minor pentatonic. The German composer Carl Orff said that using this scale develops the creativity of a young child. Largely because of the scale's nature which makes it improbable for a young musical artist to commit any harmonic mistakes.

Acoustic is so far the latest trend in music today. Although various rock and boy bands are emerging, they still can't dampen the success of acoustic music. Let me just remind you that acoustic and country music are not the same. Though they use the same instrument, acoustic music is lighter than country songs.
I love acoustic music simply because it gives everyone who listens to it a feeling of balance and serenity. The harmony and the rhythm of the guitar match with the vocalist's mellow voice is a perfect concoction when you want to relax after a long stressful day. However, if you were first in line when God blessed the world with the gift of music, you can also try strumming and make your neighbors realized that "hey, this guy already have something to do with his life'.
Learning to play the guitar is not as hard as other people think. When you already know the basics, it would be as easy as playing your desired Xbox or PC games. First things first, you have to know how to read guitar chords. The upright line on the right corresponds the primary string. While the space amid horizontal lines signify the frets. The dots on the chart indicate the position of your fingers.

Beginning guitar players must be able to read chord charts because this is the basic way to learn how to finger the guitar's keyboard and produce a note. However, it is best to read the chart first on a separate pattern instead of the full scale, much like learning the piano.
Chord charts include the root notes and the open strings. To read the chord chart you must know where each note is located on the given string or fret. If you know the chord pattern then it would be easier for you to locate, for example, the E chord at any fret since it is repeated on the entire scale of the keyboard. Mark each note pattern on the string with a different color so it will be easy to recognize. Reading chord charts can get confusing but if you get the hang of it, playing the guitar will be a breeze.
