Just like the popular digital music, guitars have gone digital as well. Being a music lover, I play the guitar more often than any other musical instrument. I just cannot explain it, but guitar playing sort of renews my spirit and inspires me a lot. Believe it or not, music washed away some of my traumatic depressions. That is why, I always keep myself abreast with the latest guitar that offers maximum music satisfaction. Well, Fender's electric guitar is such a great buy. The price does not really matter, it is the quality that matters most.
To further enhance accessibility, Fender has just launched a DVD entitled "Getting Started on Electric Guitar." I have just purchased a copy and have seen it right at the comfort of my home. Now I can say that my talent in playing the guitar has been further developed. The said DVD features effective and helpful steps on how to start playing or learning electric guitar. Such great features include chords, tuning, tips for practice, and soloing. In addition, this DVD comes along with some extra features such as back tracks for playing along, a fretboard that is animated, and other interesting features from Fender which cannot be found in other alternative videos.

I hate Apple iPod gadgets. These gadgets have taken away the special significance of artistic expression. The convenience that iPods provide has diminished the importance of individual music. The musical compositions of professional and aspiring musicians are now reduced as cheap commodities that can easily be deleted. Free music in the internet is killing the music industry.
These Apple iPod gadgets have only encouraged digital music piracy. However, you should not think that I am a hater of technology. I love technology, especially mobile phone technology. When it comes to playing guitars, I prefer playing electric guitars than acoustic guitars. Electric guitars are more powerful. Even though my neighbor is complaining about my guitar playing, I still like my like playing guitar out loud.
My favorite electric guitar brand is the B.C. Rich guitar. The design of the B.C. Rich guitars really rock. These guitars are individually hand-crafted. Each guitar is a work of art. B.C. Rich is famous for designing customized guitars that have radical looks. The music these guitars produce is high in quality. The notes are never distorted. You may even play classical music with these guitars.

Popular rock bands, nowadays, make noise by using at least three electric guitars in their music. The reason for doing so is that this type of guitar is noisier, than the acoustic type, and has a wider range of tuning combinations. A better sound quality is also produced with such guitar type and suits perfectly for concerts that have large crowds.
The Americans pioneered the electric guitar since they have a native inclination to guitar music. Back then, they use acoustic guitars made of wood. A man named Adolph Rickenbacker invented the very first electronic guitar. It is made of a pan, the one you fry with, and strings stretched between magnets. Physics was the secret behind the eerie sound that this instrument produces. At first, people laughed at the appearance of the new stringed instrument, but later on, when the version was remodeled, it finally attracted the attention of guitar players.
Since then, for over seventy years now, electric guitars are essential to modern entertainment. You can even find them in an orchestra. The ‘strange’ sounds they produce give additional beautiful effects and sound combinations to music.

I think that Fender guitars are the ultimate must-have guitars. Fender has been producing top-of-the-line guitars since the early years. Their vintage guitars are the cream of the crop for guitar collectors. This is because Fender produces limited edition guitars that make guitar aficionados crave for more.
The Fender Precision Bass is one of the very first few guitars that hit the roof in the guitar industry. This guitar was produced from 1951 to 1968. Now, this guitar is one of the most sought-after Fender collectibles around. This is like the vintage convertible that would make funnyman Jay Leno drool. This guitar has a "slab asymmetrical double cutaway ash body" with a perfect blonde finish. The single coil pickup has a black flat pole. Its pick guard is made of black fiber with a clear-coated lacquer. The neck of this vintage beauty is a one-piece maple 34."
This is the 1951 model. For the 1954 Precision bass model, the only difference is on the color. The color of the 1954 Precision bass has a two-toned sunburst finish. It has a single white layer ABS pick guard. The single coil pickup is all black. So, you take your pick on these vintage Precision bass guitars. Only Fender can make these one-of-a-kind beauties.

I know you'll agree with me when I say that Fender guitars are one of the best guitars around. From the vintage guitars to electric guitars, Fender should do know how to make quality guitars. My little sister is very much into guitars like me. I wanted to buy her a guitar for her birthday. But, I don't think a vintage Fender guitar would suit her at 15 years old! Then, I just found out that fender came up with, get this, a Hello Kitty Fender Stratocaster!
The Hello Kitty Fender Stratocaster has everything that a classic Fender Stratocaster has. Only this time, the design is purely Hello Kitty! Don't you think that's just too cute! Who would have thought that Fender could come up with such a great idea? My little sister would rock with a Fender and Hello Kitty, all in one fabulous guitar. The Hello Kitty Stratocaster comes in two colors. There's a pink and a black Stratocaster. This guitar is an electric guitar complete with a Hello Kitty strap, a nice girly case, and a completely ear-blowing speaker! You could get all these for as low as $230 bucks! So, if you have pre-pubescent sisters or daughters who are into electric guitars, the Hello Kitty Fender Stratocaster is absolutely the perfect gift! They'll thank you someday when they become the ultimate rockstars!

If you're an aspiring electric guitar player, but you think that the guitars are too expensive, well fret no more. There are many budget savers for all of you electric guitar beginners out there. Of course, you may think that cheaper electric guitars have cheaper qualities. Well, if you think that the best electric guitars always have to be so costly, you're wrong.
There are many cheap electric guitars that have good wood. They may also have an almost perfect quality workmanship. All you have to do is to browse hard and to spend as much time as you can in looking for the perfect, cheap electric guitar. You have to keep in mind though, that some manufacturers tend to "cut corners" on cheaper and affordable electric guitars. You need a good eye and a little bit of guitar parts research to find the best guitar for you, and what suits your budget. A leading cheap electric guitar is the Squier Fat Stratocaster. It's almost comparable to the classic Fender Stratocaster. The Squier Fat Stratocaster has good parts and it has a reasonable quality workmanship. You just have to examine the guitar very well because they're not all the same. Remember that guitars are made and assembled individually. Another good and cheap electric guitar is the Epiphone G-310 SG. This guitar is inspired by the expensive electric guitar, Gibson SG guitars. The Epiphone has a mahogany neck and a "dot-inlayed rosewood fingerwood." This is one guitar that's worth your money.

I can honestly say that I'm biased when it comes to electric guitars. And why wouldn't I be? Electric guitars have their own musical dimension. Once someone plays an electric guitar, energy just bursts out of the strumming. You might be wondering what's new with an electric guitar from a plain acoustic guitar. Electric guitars are actually very similar to acoustic guitars. They both have six strings. Both of these guitars use tuning pegs. These two guitars also have frets on a long neck.
You can only see the difference on the guitar's body. The electric guitar uses a magnetic pickup. The sound it produces is controlled by the guitar's knobs. The electric guitar, from the word itself uses electricity or electromagnets. Do you notice the deep trembling sound an electric guitar makes when strummed? Well, that's because of the amplifiers and the speakers that are connected to the guitar. The electric guitar is just right for rock and roll. But, it can also be used on any other kind of music, believe me.
My favorite electric guitar player is the famous Slash. He's from the famous mid 80's-90's rock band Guns n' Roses. Until now he plays as a single artist with his electric guitar. All I can say is that electric guitars really do rock!

Guitars from Gibson have been manufactured for almost a century. Guitarists from all walks of life make it a point to look at and purchase Gibson guitars. They know that with such guitars, playability, tone quality, and fabulous designs never go out of style!
This guitar made its debut in 1963. It is actually the most respected among all the Gibson bassses. This model was then reissued in the year 1987 and had some slight changes added to it. The changes include body reverse style and design pickups.
The bass guitar comes in classical white color made of mahogany finish. The fingerboard is of Rosewood material. There are 20 frets for this bass guitar.
So, purchase a Gibson Thunderbird IV Bass if it's a "classic" guitar that you're looking for.

For years, Klein Electric Guitar has been creating instruments that go beyond the standards of these devices. These toneful, creative, and ergonomic crafts are made by hand, which makes them a definite must-have. One reason for this is that they customize each instrument by their customer's needs. The results are a versatile, playable, and unparalleled electric guitar.
One of their best creations is the DT-96 electric guitar. This is made from basswood and has an alder body. To top it off, white or black pearls adorn it. Surely, you can imagine playing a guitar that is so cool and awesome.
It comes with the Standard Jazz pickup neck of Seymour Duncan, and a bridge position of a '59 pickup. Surprisingly, it is only seven and a half pounds.

Buying an electric guitar requires plenty of considerations to make. First, what kind of electric guitar sounds best? Next, which of the electric guitars look the coolest. Third, what guitar is the easiest to manage?
It is of no surprise that a novice guitar player will forget to consider buying an amplifier. This is definitely a huge mistake to make. Remember that some of the best guitars sound really horrible when played on a bad amplifier.
It is suggested that you make a budget for an amplifier that is above the cheapest amp that you will find. It doesn't mean that you have to purchase the best there is. Just remember to take some time shopping for a good amplifier too.

The Danelectro '56 U2 is a Korean-made electric guitar best suited for a beginner. An economical (okay, cheap) copy/reissue of the classic Danelectro '56, this guitar has nothing but nostalgia and a curious cult following going for it.
Many players like the Danelectro '56 U2 for its unique look and sound, but it might turn off others as well, as it's not a guitar usually seen to last or as an investment in their guitar playing. A hollow-bodied instrument, this guitar also features lipstick pickups, dual-stacked tones and volume control.
With its cheap construction and price, the Danelectro '56 U2 is a guitar only a select few choose to play.

This Korean-made heavyweight guitar is a smooth player. An interesting theme about this guitar is the focus on having two of everything. It has two volume controls, two "F" holes, two tone controls and 22 frets(2 and 2...get it?), but don't let that put you off. You're sure to get a heck of a time playing this guitar.
The Samick HJ650 is an electric guitar, but it's built like a battleship and made to last. And the sound is one you're ready to go to war with. Reportedly sounding better than a more expensive Gibson, the Samick HJ650 represents great value for your money, although it may cost you less than a comparable Gibson or other high end model, it is still quite an expensive piece of equipment. If you do decide to purchase one, try looking one up at numarkets.com, and maybe you'll find a bargain there.

This uniquely designed electric guitar, looking like it would be more at home in the hands of Han Solo than anyone else, is constructed of poplar wood (for the body), a basswood neck, and many fiberglass and carbon fiber parts.
Able to play a variety of tunes, from light to dark, thanks to the Dimarzio humbuckers and the piezos, the Parker Fly Deluxe is a marvel of engineering. Seemingly fragile and deceptively light (due to the fiberglass and carbon fiber parts) this guitar is described by its users as one of the most playable they've ever handled.
With its distinctive look and handling characteristics, the Parker Fly Deluxe looks out of this world; after playing one it feels like you're up in the stars as well!

This US made electric hollowbody guitar features a mahogany neck and body, rosewood fret board and a single Florentine cutaway. Suitable to any number of playing styles, the Guild Starfire III plays admirably well due to its two guild humbuckers and Bigsby tremolo/tailpiece.
Considerably lesser priced than other models of its type, the Guild Starfire III is a high quality guitar for the price. With quality comparing favorably against its competitors, the Guild Starfire III is said to have a better finish and being able to be played just as good as or even better than other, higher-priced guitars.
With its good quality wood, excellent playing characteristics and economic price, the Guild Starfire III is a bargain no matter how you look at it.

This 3 pickup, Stratocaster-styled body (with a better styling sense) can be considered a more refined, modified version of the legendary Stratocaster guitar. It is very player-friendly, and stands up well to everyday practice. This is one guitar that likes to be played with constantly!
Many players report that the neck on the G&L Legacy Custom is an outstanding piece of work, easy to play with and gives the guitar an amazing sound. Also, it is praised for its sturdiness of construction, being able to withstand years of playing without giving out.
Already considered a deal because of the price, the G&L Legacy Custom is a bargain, being of high quality and workmanship all around.

This electric guitar comes with two Carvin Super Distortion humbuckers and is a neck thru body construction. A feature of note is the Active Electronics with coil splitters and an in/out phase switch. Activating this feature enables the player to set the tone of the guitar in any way he or she chooses.
The finish of the Carvin DC-400 is best described as fantastic. The crafting is incredible, and the quilt top is beautiful. This guitar is definitely worth the price and should be considered an investment, since it plays so well. The fretwork and intonation are well done and made, considering this is a 24 fret guitar.
The Carvin DC-400 is an instrument that should be picked up by any serious guitarist.

This semi-hollow, 2 humbucker, Gibson style bridge guitar has a wider and flatter neck than most guitars. It also plays with a fuller tone than other guitars at the same price range, making the Hamer Echotone a great buy for the money.
The Hamer Echotone can be described as big, bad and gets the job done. It may not be as pretty as others out there, but it plays well and looks and sounds meaner than a pitbull in heat. The graining of the wood might have been a bit better, but I think it adds to the overall appeal of the Hamer Echotone.
Although the intonation might be a little off at first, but with a little tweaking and fiddling any serious player will be able to bust out a note or two in no time at all on the Hamer Echotone.

This dangerous looking instrument is the Jackson RR-5. With its sharp corners and narrow, blade-like angles, it seems more at home in the hands of a medieval executioner than a guitarist.
But appearances aside, the Jackson RR-5 is one good-sounding guitar. Its 2 pickup setup (hey, that rhymed) results in a bright sound that many players will appreciate. With its thin neck, guitarists can access higher frets easier and its distinctive shape makes other people notice you.
While it may cost more than other guitars (roughly $1500) many users of the Jackson RR-5 feel that it's worth it and that the price is justified for its performance. The only complaint about the Jackson RR-5 is the shape, as some guitarists find it difficult to play the guitar seated.

This classic electric guitar has been out of production for a while (the last one was produced back in 1983), but have now been revived for the newest generation of guitar players to make their own legendary music. Hagstrom guitars have been used by many famous and legendary musicians, such as the late Frank Zappa, The Beatles and the King himself, Elvis Presley.
Covered in a distinctive sparkle and pearloid celluloid covering, Hagstrom guitars strummed their way into the hearts of guitar aficionados worldwide. Some Hagstrom guitars are still playing even after 23 years since they were purchased.
Now, aspiring guitar legends can now try out the legendary quality of the Hagstrom Guitars which they have only seen in music videos and magazines.

This Korean-made guitar may look like a cheap knock-off, but be forewarned: This axe can definitely hang with the big boys! The single-coil middle pickup electric guitar has a mahogany body and neck, resulting in an overall appeal that is hard to match, looks-wise.
The only complaint about this guitar is the buzzing of the single coil pickup, but that can easily be remedied by an aftermarket tuner. This import is considerably friendlier on the wallet than other guitars, and will definitely play well. It's a guitar with good value for the money and you won't be disappointed, just have a new pickup handy.

This innovative tuner is sure to be a hit with any guitarist, particularly those who often perform in groups or in noisy environments. The Intellitouch PT-1 tuner is easy to use, and convenient in practice. It uses vibrations instead of sound to tune your guitar, so tuning your axe in a loud environment, like say a concert or practice room doesn't pose a problem.
The battery-powered Intellitouch PT-1 tuner is a very convenient gadget to use. It simply attaches to the headstock of your guitar and can be folded out of the way when not in use. But it does have its drawbacks, as it can sometimes have difficulty determining the exact note you're looking for (which is a fairly common problem for electric tuners anyway), and the price tag. The Intellitouch PT-1 can be quite expensive, but definitely worth every penny.

Can't afford a Fender Stratocoaster? Or feel that you're not worthy yet of one? Then why not get the next best thing: A Squier Standard Fat Stratocoaster. It's not a knock-off, but a Fender-authorized, affordable alternative!
For a beginner the initial cost of a guitar, especially the bigger brands, Fender included, might just be too high for them. And then they may get intimidated by playing such a "high-class" guitar with their beginner skills, they just might freeze with tension, unable to even strum the strings. This is where an alternative beginner electric guitar like the Squier Standard Fat Stratocoaster comes in. It's significantly cheaper than the big name brands, but plays just as well, if not better than some!
Sure, the quality might be suspect, but for the price, the Squier Standard Fat Stratocoaster is real good value for your money!

Should you buy a cheaper electric guitar than usual? I mean, with all those horror stories that abound regarding them, these cheaper, more economical options don't have anything going for them, right?
Wrong. Just because something is cheaper doesn't mean it's worse. In the case of the cheaper-than-the-big-names-but-not-so-cheap-as-the-no-names types of guitars (phew!) their more affordable price isn't a sign of bad quality. While it's true you can get some questionable quality pickups and hardware are to be found, these are all replaceable things, and the combined price of that and the guitar will still be less than a "name" guitar!

It's been the subject of numerous debates over the years, and it seems that neither side is willing to concede. Many hours have been spent trying to convince one side to accept the other as the better one, but to no avail.
What is this topic that seems to never come to a resolution?
The debate over hard and soft cases for guitars.
Hard cases offer adequate protection for the instrument, but are bulky and heavy. Soft cases are lighter and easier to carry, but offer little real protection for your guitar.
Each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Soft cases are ideal for short trips and small venues. Hard cases are needed for tours and long journeys.

Guitar players, particularly the newer ones, are a strange lot. They'll go nuts over the latest model guitar, the finest strings, and hold on to their instrument for dear life, yet ignore a very basic and very important piece of equipment. This piece of equipment will often spell the difference between continuing to play and leaving the guitar in its case to gather dust.
What is this valuable piece of equipment?
It is none other than the amplifier. This black box is often instrumental in making even a mediocre guitar (not guitarist) sound well. A good amplifier makes for a good sound, even from a fairly lousy guitar. In contrast, a bad amplifier makes even the best guitar and guitarist sound like crap, no matter how good they play.
Next time you play, give this humble little box a nod, and give it the props it deserves.
